The Blush Inc Lookbook: Spring Fling

I have just done a fashion lookbook for online boutique: www.theblushinc.com

The pictures turned out surprisingly good considering it was to be done in a studio where it can be quite tricky; due to the lack of 'scenery' and 'props' that outdoor shooting can offer.
To top it off, I was asked to create some splatter art that I got no idea what exactly the photographer or owner had in mind. So I just did it my way, R.A.N.D.O.M style.

This particular picture has 'grass' under her feet. At that moment, what went through my mind was,

" I think it'll be great for her to step on some grass!!!

I am so glad these turned out awesome. (At least with regards to Blush Inc's owner, who is the BOSS.)
Owner was worried earlier on and that made me nervous and this includes the photographer, whom I can feel the silent vibes of him crossing his fingers. Hahahahha !!!!

Jakarta

I have always loved travelling. And if I could travel and work it will give me the utmost satisfaction in my career. So, soon I am flying to Jakarta to look up an old school friend to check out if it's possible to set up store there for my work and photography studio with partners! YAY!

It happened super randomly!!!!!!

My indo friend texted me by SMS one day and I didn't reply cause it was an overseas number and I thought he was clearing his phone book. And yes, I was kinda cheapo as I didn't want to reply to a foreign number and get charged exorbitantly (as far as SMSes go) for it.

And so, weeks or months later, (cannot remember) I received A whatsapp text from him and I replied this time just because it's easier to chat on whatsapp especially from overseas!!! AHHHHHHHH
Anyway, he mentioned that he actually got my number from our mutual school friend cause he dreamt of me recently.
So, I was like WOW, how random can this get???????? Considering we haven't been in touch ever since we graduated 14 YEARS BACK?!!!!
I told him to save the details of the dream in case it was strange erotica and after he revealed it was indeed a weird dream. Hahahhaha.

So I chatted about what I was up to and then as much as I can't help it, the topic of overseas assignment came into the conversation......
He said if I was that keen, I should come over and check it out. Furthermore, he has a hotel doing one stop weddings too and if I were to come visit, he promised to take care of everything for me; accommodation and all, with me just having to buy the plane tickets!!!!!!!!!!!!

I DON'T CALL MYSELF MISS KAYPO for nothing.

I was excited, keen, curious and doubtful all at the same time..................

I was also super impressed and so the idea started churning from there then.

AND SO............. 

I am really keeping my fingers crossed on this one because I think it would be awesome to extend my hair and makeup plus photography services for bridal couples in JAKARTA!!!! We want to be able to bring awesome-ness over and of course to expend our clientele as it is really a huge market over there.

BUT
I have also heard there are couples from Jakarta flying over to Singapore to have their wedding photo-shoot done here in Singapore and so IDEALLY, they can possibly book me to do their hair and makeup!?

Besides, to get from Jakarta to Singapore is really near (only a 2hrs flight) and getting around
Singapore is also super easy because it is a small city after all.

Furthermore, the roads here are a breeze to get through compared to Jakarta! Plus, with the many awesome places of interest (the new structure at Marina Bay Sands, Sentosa and more.....for those adventurous couples, you can try the Zoo!) and beautiful backdrops (spectacularly decorated boutique hotels) to include in the pictures, AND great food of every kind and not to forget, lots of shopping!

Ok back to reality, needless to say,  to holiday also, while I'm there, (again in a span of 1 week!) when I just got back from Bali!

I feel like a tai tai.
A very very hardworking one.

I tell MYSELF NO MORE holidays this year after this trip.

I need to focus on work!!

Bride Suki has hair extensions. One thing to note about hair extensions is that curls do not last as long compared to our real hair because the extensions have all  been chemically treated and are very limp in the strand composition. 

I normally recommend an up-do for brides with ultra long extensions especially when the weather is so hot in Singapore!

But of course, if the bride prefers, I can actually provide some tips to let hair curls last longer for extensions with limitations.

She is the second bride I've come across game to try on lower false lashes. Well I must say the effect looked pretty good making her already huge eyes more doll-like!

As her wedding is held outdoors, I did her hair up. Otherwise, she would be feeling sweaty by then and it would be a mess! With the many guests to entertain and the limited restroom facility, we didn't have much time for touch-ups.

Charis arranged a beautiful theme of sea blue for her outdoor wedding! She even custom made blue popcorns, blue M & Ms and yummy blue jelly beans which tasted surprisingly good! (jelly beans) and I'm normally not a fan of jelly beans!

That's why I did a beautiful turquiose blue for her eye shadow to match :)
